THANK YOU! Thank you to everyone who came out in support of our first annual Evolve/Y Dance-A-Thon this Saturday by dancing, donating, and entering our raffle.  The money raised helps us to keep costs down and ensure that every child in our dance program has the opportunity to perform this March at the Tarrytown Music Hall.   If you were not able to join us this weekend and are still interested in lending your support, please click "DONATE" below to make a tax-deductible donation. The Y Dance Festival is a wonderful opportunity for the students of the Y Dance Program to perform in a professionally produced dance concert. The enrollment fees and ticket sales don't cover all the costs, so raising money helps to pay for the rest.  By getting involved in the Evolve/Y Dance-a-thon, you can help us to keep our students performing every year! WHERE DO PROCEEDS GO? scholarships and financial assistance for any student in need, so that the Y Dance Festival is accessible to all. production costs including light & sound equipment and crew, theatre rental, and stage manager. choreographer/rehearsal fees and administrative costs. costumes and dancewear These are just a few of the things that go into creating a professionally produced performance.  To cover all of these, we would need to charge our students the true cost of $250 per student, per piece!  But with the help of grants, donations, and supporters like you, we can strive to keep costs down and make this wonderful performing experience available to all of our students.  This Dance-A-Thon is a great way to come together as a dance community and keep our students dancing!
